WWE 2K26 officially revealed its cover star, and it's CM Punk.

Punk is the Standard Edition cover star and also leads this year's 2K Showcase mode. In that mode, he tells his own career story, sharing big matches, memorable moments, and even the controversies, all in his own voice. He also revealed earlier that players will get to relive his biggest moments and even take on matchups he never got the chance to have.

CM Punk Praises WWE 2K26 Cover Design

The cover reveal happened during the January 30, 2026, Royal Rumble reveal event. Punk was handed a framed copy of the game cover, and he looked genuinely excited as he checked out the artwork.

Moreover, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion even joked that this cover might be cooler than the last time he was featured, back on WWE 2K14. He pointed out details like his grey beard and the updated look as welcome additions. Moreover, he asked if he could keep the framed copy, highlighting his excitement.

“Hurray! This is amazing. This is badass. This might be better…this might be cooler than the other one from 2013. And I don’t know if that’s just because I just like this look, the hair, the grey in the beard. This really thick X is pretty badass. I don’t know, this is just neat. Thank you. This is actually mine? I got to keep them? This is really cool,” Punk said.

This marks CM Punk's second time donning the cover of a WWE video game, something only a small group of Superstars have replicated twice. As a kid, being on a video game cover was just a dream for him. Now, he gets to do it again.

2K also announced special editions of the game. The King of Kings Edition honors Triple H and celebrates both his wrestling career and his role behind the scenes in WWE. The Attitude Era Edition highlights legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. There is also a Monday Night War Edition focused on the famous WWE vs. WCW rivalry.

WWE 2K26 launches on March 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The Standard Edition releases on March 13.
