Two suspects were arrested days after a “large quantity of personal items” was stolen from a Manhattan Beach home, police say.
A press release issued by the Manhattan Beach Police Department states that the residential burglary was reported on March 20 in the 1400 block of 21st Street.
“Officers determined that multiple suspects had forced entry into a locked residence while the homeowner was away,” authorities said. “The suspects stole a large quantity of personal items and fled the area in a vehicle.”
An investigation into the incident was launched and led detectives to Torrance, where the two suspects were arrested on Thursday and found to be in possession of property that was stolen from the Manhattan Beach victim, officials confirmed.
In addition, two search warrants served in Los Angeles led to the recovery of the victim’s passport, a Wi-Fi jammer, a stolen gun, ammunition, jewelry and watches, a stolen safe, stolen electronics, high-value sports and collectible cards, high-value purses and bags, license plates and burglary tools.
Manhattan Beach police identified the two suspects as 31-year-old John Orozcoramos and 33-year-old Cristian Cardenas, both of whom are Colombian nationals.
The exact charges the men are facing were not disclosed.
