A South Florida woman is accused of turning a professional business relationship into a $1.2 million luxury fantasy fueled by private jets, mansion rentals, and diamond jewelry — until detectives say the illusion collapsed.
Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Keshon Litesha Rivers, 32, on Wednesday, alleging she orchestrated an organized scheme to defraud the owners of Event Décor Direct in Deerfield Beach between May and August of 2025. Investigators say Rivers exploited an established working relationship through her own company, Lock and Key Designs, to siphon more than $1.2 million from the business.
According to BSO, the stolen funds allegedly financed an extravagant spending spree. Detectives say Rivers spent more than $85,000 on high-end gold and diamond jewelry, booked a $55,000 luxury private jet charter from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, and shelled out over $43,000 for mansion rentals in exclusive neighborhoods across Miami Beach and Los Angeles.
When questioned about suspicious credit card charges, investigators say Rivers attempted to divert blame by inventing a person she claimed was responsible for the transactions. Detectives later determined that the individual did not exist.
The investigation ultimately led BSO to develop probable cause for Rivers’ arrest. She now faces multiple felony charges, including organized scheme to defraud, grand theft over $100,000, money laundering, creating a fictitious identity, and violating probation.
Authorities say Rivers was already on probation until 2030 for similar fraud charges stemming from Polk County at the time of her arrest, a detail that has only intensified scrutiny of the alleged scheme.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding Rivers or the alleged fraud is encouraged to contact Broward Sheriff’s Office Detective Christopher Bradley at 954-480-4300.
